Ceasar's Salads' Etc... featuring The Bar of De'Nile

The restaurant set in an old charming home tucked between several live oaks off the Government Street., and is about to wake up the restaurant business in Ocean Springs appropriately named for the Roman Emperor Caesar who conquered the ancient world, Caesar's Salad, Etc... featuring The Bar of De'Nile has the potential to conquer the restaurant establishment. Laurie Authement opened her door to patrons July 2008, and is serving up a little something. I arrived at the restaurant for lunch a little early than normal business hours, and by the time I left it was packed. The menu has a variety to choose from including several Cajun style entrees, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The restaurant also serves a daily lunch special that includes a salad and French bread. The daily specials range from $6.99 to $9.99. I started my meal with hummus in De'Nile, $6.99. The ration of hummus to pita wedges was an ample serving for two. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the Seared Tuna salad, $10.99, and a Barqs' Root Beer. Not only was it simply yummy, the presentation was excellent. Caesar's Salad, etc... featuring The Bar of De'Nile has a little something for everyone everyday of the week. On Sunday the restaurant opens at 10:00 a.m. to serve a champagne brunch for every New Orleans Saints Game, and live music on the back patio. The restaurant has a game special menu for Monday night games; Tuesday is industry night/ i.d. required; Wednesday is ladies night; Thursday is improvisation night, and Friday and Saturday nights have live bands on the outside stage. Happy hour is from four to six p.m. daily, and the military receives a 10% discount on food. If you haven't had the opportunity to stop in for a drink or something to eat, give it a change, you will be pleasantly surprised. I'm Kristen Holley, and this I the way I taste it.
